Research Focus: Applying biochemical, biological, and molecular approaches to environmental and marine research, with emphasis on fish larvae identification, molecular biology, and environmental sustainability.
 

Mr. Titus Kipkorir Komen is a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) graduate from Pwani University currently working at the KMFRI Mombasa Centre as a researcher. His work focuses on applying biochemical, biological, and molecular approaches to environmental and marine research.

He has prior industry experience in the pharmaceutical sector, where he worked for six years gathering feedback on pharmaceutical brands from medical practitioners and preparing analytical reports to guide product improvement and quality enhancement.

His research interests include identification of fish larvae morphologically with meristic and genetically, molecular biology, and biotechnology with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and applied laboratory science.
