Abstact Submission Guidelines
We welcome abstracts that align with the conference theme and cover a broad spectrum of topics related to aquatic resources, sustainable practices, and the blue economy. Abstracts should be submitted through the online submission portal provided by the deadline. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Abstract Length: Maximum 300 words.
- Format: Use the provided template available on the conference website.
- Language: Submissions should be in English.
- Content: Clearly state the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of your research or presentation.

Review Process
All submitted abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by the scientific committee. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 31st March 2024. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference program and considered for oral or poster presentations.
Registration Fees
Delegates must register for the conference by 7th June 2024 to confirm their participation.
Registration fee will include access to the conference sessions and plenaries, lunches, tea breaks (10 a.m. and 4 p.m.), cocktail and excursion, as well as a welcome pack containing a variety of conference goodies

Travel Requirements
Conference Exhibition
Along with the conference, a Blue Economy Exhibition and Information Center will be set up within the Conference venue. The Exhibition centre is open to local, national, regional and international players in the blue space providing a platform to share information and demonstrations on the role of science in the blue economy. The Centre targets Government agencies, innovators, academia, entrepreneurs, financial institutions and other stakeholders to showcase their activities while allowing sale or exchange of Blue materials during peak Conference break periods.The cost for exhibition is USD 500 (Africa and developing countries) and USD 1,000 (for developed countries). The Exhibition fee covers Exhibition booth (3x3)m, Conference package for two exhibitors, a table and 2 chairs. Extra participants will need to register as delegates. Exhibition booking allows for two participants with access to the full conference package and carry-on’s. - Clients brows to e-citizen portal at https://kmfri.ecitizen.go.ke/
- Sign in on the top right (for those with account numbers), Sign up to register (those without account numbers) by selecting the suitable options i.e. citizen, residents, diplomat etc.)
- Once logged in scroll down and click all agencies
- Search for KMFRI (Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute) and sign in to view the Online Services
- Click on Conference Booking and follow the registration process

- Click NEXT up to Conference Details, then fill (Conference details, Category of applicant, Country of applicant and the Currency)
