Dr. Nancy Tuimising Tele was appointed to the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KMFRI) Board of Management via a gazette notice with effect from September 1, 2023, and currently serves as the Chairperson of the Human Resource and Administration Committee.

The self-motivated professional and licensed Clinical Psychologist who is also a Mental Health Consultant holds a postdoctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Daystar University, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree, and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Community Development.

Dr Tele is a registered Associate Counsellor and a member, in good standing, of the Kenya Counselling and Psychological Association (KCPA), and the Counselling & Psychologist Board.

She has co-authored several publications; and is a mentor and a leader in several organizations.

She has extensive teaching experience and is presently a lecturer of Counselling Psychology at Daystar University in Nairobi, having previously tutored at Bridgeworld College in Nairobi, and at the Management University of Africa.

Dr Tele generated more than 10 years of working experience at the World Vision, where she coordinated several projects on child protection, social determinants of health for orphans and vulnerable children, as well as children sponsorship programmes.
